Our business Name is TeamKit Ltd, trading as Azzurri Sport, an Irish  family business, designing, manufacturing and distributing Sports Kit, Leisurewear & Equipment from Waterford, Ireland.
 
We supply Team kit and Leisurewear Direct to Clubs, Schools, Colleges and Counties.
 
The business was started by Miriam Molloy in 1985 from home, soon after John and Miriam returned from 5 years working in South Africa. From this home business, 2 seperate businesses have developed,
Azzurri Sport & Waterford Uniforms.
Today we employ over 40 persons in Ireland, including a nationwide sales team.
 
Waterford Uniforms  is today a main supplier to Electrical Utilities and Fire Services in Ireland, and now selling in the UK and to some major International customers. Waterford Uniform is increasingly being used in the protection of workers worldwide.
 
"The Azzurri" name, is famously known as the nickname for the Italian National Sporting Sides and was identified as a potential Sports brand by John and Miriam whilst supporting Ireland during the 1990 World Cup.  Azzurri is also the Italian translation for the colour blue, the County Colours of Waterford.
Azzurri Sport is our registerd brand since 1990.
 
Azzurri Sport became a GAA Kit & Leisurewear licensee in 2002.
Now Azzurri Sport is used by Counties and Clubs nationwide managed by Brian Mc Evoy & Conan Watt, both  hurled for the respective Counties, Kilkenny & Waterford.
 
Azzurri Sport will introduce a Soccer and a Rugby Sports specific ranges in June and July respectively.
 
Azzurri Sport also plan to introduce an extensive range of Sports Wear including hurling helmets, sliotars, GAA footballs, Soccer balls, tracksuits, jackets, hoodies, polos, all available nationwide through leading retailers including Sportsworld, from September 2009.
 
Now John and Miriam are supported by a great team, all working closely together to supply competitively priced quality sports products and developing  longterm customers relationships.

 
Everyone in TeamKit is proud of the benefits brought to the Irish sports market following the introduction of Azzurri Sports products, and particularly proud to be supplying Quality Sports Kit  Made in Ireland.
To enforce the commitment to Irish manufacturing we plan soon to open a line in Ireland making Hurling Helmets, offering choice and improved prices to customers nationwide.
